In the heart of Porto, Convívio is more than a place to eat: it is a living chapter of the city's history. Founded in 1972, with more than fifty years of existence, this classic restaurant has crossed generations, witnessed change and kept memories between counter conversations and good meals.
After a period behind closed doors, it now returns renewed, without ever losing its soul. The essence remains intact: the same counter, the meeting point of habits and affections, and the emblematic chairs that keep wrapping the room in a warm, familiar atmosphere.
The renovation was carried out with respect and sensitivity, adding just a touch of sophistication that elevates the experience without erasing the past. The result is a rare balance between tradition and the present day.

Convívio opened its doors in 1972 on Rua Arquitecto Marques da Silva, next to the Boavista roundabout, and quickly became a landmark for anyone wanting to taste the classics of Portuguese cuisine away from the tourist circuits.
Over half a century it has been home to francesinhas with history, steaks with their own names and fresh seafood — but above all it has been a meeting point: for neighbours, for those who work nearby, and for everyone who knows that the best conversations are written at the table, in front of a good plate of food.
Today, reopened and renewed, Convívio remains true to itself: a welcoming, classic room with a familiar, relaxed character, ready to write the next chapters of its long story.
